Club Logo - We are holding a competition to design a new logo for the club. the cost to entyer the comp. is £1. with the winner receiving £20 towards a club membership and the design will be use on all clubmaterials. please hand in you entries and your £1 at the club desk or email your design to the clubs website and pay your entry at the desk. TWO FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONS FOR MORAY!

 

Two members of the Elgin-Moray Skating Academy secured national titles in a major event at the weekend.

Competing at the Scottish Championships in Aberdeen, Rowena Mackessack-Leitch successfully defended her title as Scottish Junior Champion. The eighteen year-old from Elgin skated two strong performances against 22 skaters from all over the country. The success follows a silver medal last year at a major international competition in Finland.

More success for Moray came when team-mate Danni Tewnion from Lhanbryde won the title of Scottish Under 15's Champion at her first attempt. The twelve year-old has won several national competitions since she started training with the academy.

Also flying the flag for Moray, Catherine Baber and Lauren Mackessack-Leitch gave strong performances. Lauren took silver in the Scottish Senior Championships event.
