Moray Figure Skating Club was formed in 1993 when Moray Leisure Centre opened and provided learn to skate tuition. Jump, spin and edge classes were introduced alongside off-ice classes in 1999 and the club began to produce many winners in national events. As the saying goes, from little acorns do mighty oaks grow. In the following years the club produced Scottish champions and had members selected to represent Great Britain.
The club has produced international medalists and our skaters have won the title of SportMoray ‘Junior Sports Team of the Year’. As time has progressed, we have also developed our annual club competition and Christmas show, which has gained an impressive reputation over the years and is a regular in the calendar in Moray to showcase the talents of all our skaters.
MFSC is the most successful skating club in Moray and one of the most successful in the country.
